Rolex introduced the upgraded Explorer II Reference 216570 to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. The watchmaker offers the watch in Oystersteel, offering resistance to corrosion. However, the watch features a Chromalight display glowing blue at night and a 24-hour display. It can work as a compass in suitable conditions.
Moreover, the new Explorer II 216570 comes with a white lacquer dial featuring black minute hands and hour markers. And the 24-hour hand exhibits an orange hue like the original Explorer II model. However, Rolex equipped the updated 2021 model with a new in-house movement – Calibre 3285.
Overall, the timepiece looks fresh and contemporary while retaining almost all the unique features of the original model.
Thanks to Patek Philippe’s storied 175-year watchmaking history, every watch of the brand raises eyebrows. However, the Nautilus is particularly more special.
The new Patek Philippe Nautilus flaunts a brand-new sunburst olive-green dial. However, the watchmaker retains the silhouette the same as the original Nautilus. Only a subtle difference you can see in the watch’s polished and satin finish. Moreover, the new timepiece comes with a transparent case-back that showcases the movement.
You can be confident with the new Nautilus 5711/1A -014 while snorkelling or swimming, as it is water-resistant up to 120m.
It’s no surprise that Cartier is among the most favourite brands of celebrities, royals and VIPs alike. People cherish and celebrate the brand for some of its splendid creations since its inception. And the new watches, particularly the Santos-Dumont, are no exception to this.
Cartier offers the Santos-Dumont in an 18ct rose gold case and a charcoal-toned strap. Moreover, the watch flaunts the brand’s symbolic blued sword-shaped hands and eight exposed screws around the dial.
The new generation Oyster Perpetual Explorer is a must-have timepiece in any list of the top luxury watches of 2021. Thanks to its bi-metal (Rolesor) design, the new Explorer stands out from others. However, a unique and classic black dial pairs with a luxurious colour palette.
The dial features Arabic hour markers at 9, 6, and 3 o’clock with a luminous fill that glows blue for sheer legibility. Furthermore, the Oyster bracelet in the Rolesor combination completes the watch’s luxurious look. Finally, the new Explorer runs on a self-winding movement that renders utmost efficiency and precision. And also, it offers resistance to magnetic fields and shocks.
JLC added a new Master Control Memovox to the brand’s iconic ‘Master Control” collection. However, the defining characteristics of this collection are the watches’ underrated style and technical prowess.
The new JLC Master Control Memovox comes with a built-in alarm. You can rarely find this feature in luxury timepieces. Moreover, it houses the Calibre 956AA movement. Interestingly, its open-case back will enable you to see the movement’s delicate workings, including the hammer hitting the gong.
With a silver pared-back dial and signature large Memovox-style crowns, the timepiece manifests a retro vibe. However, if you twist the watch’s upper crown, you can set the alarm. And it will emit an old-fashioned school bell-type sound.
