Watchmakers are today more inclined at categorising their collections based on size instead of by gender. Now, this is undeniably a positive development in the watch industry. It would only pave the way for better design selection and better marketing within the industry.
In the ongoing trend for large watches, women typically poach men’s collection to get the desirable fit for their wrist. However, with the above positive development, women can now get their hands on alluring designs and the latest technologies without stalking men’s watches.
Recently, watch brands are turning up with multiple size designs within their cornerstone collections. Interestingly, this is a positive expansion for both men and women. For instance, women can get a smaller version of an iconic timepiece. At the same time, men who prefer a small size do not have to hunt women’s collection.
So in many ways, unisex watches are the safest option to opt for, having varied case sizes and various options for all. With this in mind, we have come up with a list of some spectacular unisex watches introduced at Watches And Wonders 2021.
You may consider some of these watches as strictly for men. But they can comfortably sit on a women’s wrist, elevating her unique style. Take a look!
Rolex introduced the new Daytona for 2021, embellished with a meteorite dial. The watch looks expectedly rugged but, at the same time, looks stylish. Thanks to the shine of the meteorite, the iconic timepiece lures both men and women.
The new Rolex Daytona Meteorite features a 40mm case and an Oysterflex bracelet. Moreover, the Calibre 4130 powers the timepiece, and it offers a power reserve of 72hours.
The new Patek Philippe Nautilus with a green dial is just a bang on the trend. The watch can easily top the must-have watch list for 2021 of both men and women. Pair the timepiece with formal attire or a casual spring outfit; the green Nautilus will compliment you in every way.
The watch measures 40mm in diameter and powered by the Calibre 26-330 S C automatic movement. Well, the discontinuation of the blue Nautilus 5711/1A has demoralised many Patek fans and collectors. But the leading watchmaker cropped up with a new generation of Nautilus. And the green Nautilus Reference 5711/1300A-001 will make you forgive the brand.
Another notable unisex watches release from Rolex at Watches And Wonder 2021 is the new Rolex Explorer with a new movement. However, the fascinating fact is that the watch gets back the wearable and versatile 36mm diameter. It flaunts a two-tone Rolesor (Oystersteel and yellow gold) silhouette with a bold black dial.
Moreover, the Chromalight hour markers, indexes and hands glow in blue, ensuring enhanced legibility in the dark. The new generation Rolex Explorer houses the in-house Calibre 3230 movement. Rolex equipped it with the Chronergy escapement. The movement offers a power reserve of 70hours and -2/+2 seconds accuracy per day.
Cartier turned up with a new chronograph version of Pasha. Cartier originally introduced the Pasha series in 1985 as strictly men’s watches. However, while women showed high interest and opted for these watches, the brand chose to produce female editions.
The new Cartier Pasha of 2021 comes in 41mm. But it looks incredibly stylish with blued steel hands contrasting on the silver dial and cabochon-encrusted crown and pushers. However, the Pasha series ranges from 30mm to 41mm.
Zenith introduced the Defy 21 for 2021, offering a 44mm case size. But the watchmaker dressed it up for the red carpet, making it an easy choice for women. However, the watch houses the EI Primero 9400 movement. It is the world’s highest-beat movement oscillating at nearly 360,000vph.
